Designed for Lower Power Consumption and Low Ambient Light Applications
The Clarity® Matrix® G3 LX LCD Video Wall System is designed to deliver outstanding tiled visual performance and mission-critical reliability, with lower power consumption for environments with controlled ambient light. Clarity Matrix G3 LX combines standard 500-nit brightness and ultra-narrow bezel LCD’s with next-generation improvements to video processing, installation, management and off-board electronics to deliver an industry-leading video wall solution for applications seeking lower power consumption.
Ultimate Visual Performance
Clarity Matrix G3 LX boasts narrow bezels, with tiled bezel widths as small as 0.88mm between adjacent LCD displays, for a nearly seamless video wall solution. Clarity Matrix G3 LX delivers no-compromise visual performance with superb image quality, perfectly aligned panels and ultra-high resolution. It also includes the Planar® EasyAxis™ Mounting System, which provides an installed depth of just 3.6” (91mm) —the thinnest in the industry—for perfect panel-to-panel alignment. Clarity Matrix G3 LX is available with Planar® ERO-LCD™, an optically-bonded glass front that provides increased ruggedness and optical performance for public space or interactive touch applications. The series also features Planar® WallDirector™ Software which significantly reduces time spent configuring, operating and monitoring the video wall.
Advanced Video Wall Processing
Clarity Matrix G3 LX now takes built-in video wall processing to a new level with the off-board Planar® WallDirector™ Video Controller, becoming the first LCD video wall solution on the market to embed advanced video processing directly into the product, delivering up to (9) 1920x1080 outputs and full 3x3 wall capability from a single 1U Controller.
The Improved Planar® Big Picture Plus™ Video Wall Processing delivers more extensive on-display and off-board video wall processing, and can scale sources across the entire video wall or any section of the video wall, including multiple 4K @ 60Hz signals.
Using 4K quadview, users can combine content from a higher number of independent sources, superimpose a smaller image over a larger one with Picture-in-Picture (PiP) and incorporate up to four unique image sources within a single display. Clarity Matrix G3 LX supports the latest 4K connectivity standards, including both HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2, offering customers flexibility when building their video infrastructure.
Integrated Synchronization with Genlock Technology
Clarity Matrix G3 LX also incorporates Planar® WallSync™ genlock technology, making it the industry’s first fully integrated synchronized video wall. Planar WallSync resolves frustrating video wall genlock and synchronization challenges by incorporating a Smart Genlock feature that automatically ensures perfectly synchronized video playback without manual configuration. Planar WallSync supports synchronization to both connected video sources and external house syncs.
Planar WallSync also corrects common video tearing artifacts seen with playback of video containing vertical content elements with horizontal motion or panning.
Designed for Mission-Critical Operations
Clarity Matrix G3 LX features a unique off-board electronics design for maximum reliability and minimal downtime. With the Planar® Remote Power Supply (RPS), Clarity Matrix G3 LX takes its unique architecture and mission-critical design to a new level. The Planar RPS features n+1 hot-swappable redundant power supplies, redundant AC input circuitry, reduced thermal stress and health as well as status monitoring capabilities.
In the event of failure, the video wall remains operational without disruption. For customers delivering highly sensitive information, the Clarity® Matrix® Fiber Video Extension option provides a more secure and longer distance option for extending video signals from Clarity Matrix electronics to displays.
Calibration and Uniformity Management
Clarity Matrix LCD video walls are factory-calibrated to ensure the highest level of visual uniformity, out of the box. In addition, Clarity Matrix displays can be field-calibrated using the optional Clarity® Matrix® ColorBalance™ calibration tool which consists of a photo-optical sensor and software application that integrates seamlessly with the Planar Video Controller.
